About
Yimei brings over twenty-five years of experience across US, Canada, Europe, and China. Previously she worked with Steven Holl Architects, Revery Architecture, Aedas, and SOM.
Her design focus centred on coliving, cross-generational communities, and experiential-driven design. She explored how existing and historical buildings could be adapted to foster new modes of social interaction, with an emphasis on shared spaces and the sharing economy.
Her design research combines technology with architectural creativity to envision better future communities, exploring the interactions between People, Time, Space, and Activity. Through innovative design thinking and cross-disciplines practice, she believes in holistic approach and the concept of integrated sustainability.
In 2023, Yimei served as President of AIA Hong Kong. She has collaborated with various design organisations for lectures and exhibited at Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021 and 2025.
